About LNG Kills

LNG Kills is a nonviolent civil resistance campaign to get urgent government action on the climate crisis.

We have heard the warnings from scientists, we have seen the fires, breathed the smoke, and watched as our governments do nothing to address the underlying issue of the climate crisis, our ongoing dependence on fossil fuels.

Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) is a Fossil Fuel

Government and industry have spent millions of dollars telling us "natural gas" is not as bad as other fossil fuels. That is a lie. Natural gas is almost entirely methane, a gas many times worse than CO2 for the climate, and when it leaks into the atmosphere the result is as every bit as bad as burning coal and oil.

Our Demand

We demand that the governments of British Columbia and Canada enter into a legally binding Fossil Fueld Non-Proliferation Treaty with other governments around the world. A legally binding international treaty is the only way to break the cycle of one country pointing to another and saying we are not the real problem, they are. We will not act until they do.
